Ford Mustang (1999-2004) Service Manual: Fuel Tank Filler Pipe
Removal
1. Remove the fuel tank. For additional information, refer to Fuel Tank in this section.
2. Remove the bolts from the filler pipe housing.
3. Remove the bolts from the filler pipe rubber boot-to-floor pan.
4. Remove the hose attached to the upper part of the pipe.
5. Rotate the pipe downward to clear the filler pipe pocket and pull it into the trunk area.
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal
1. NOTE: Make sure that the headlamp switch and the ignition switch are
in the OFF position.
Raise the headlamp retainers.
2. Remove the headlamp assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connectors and replace the lamp if
necessary.
